The minimum game or meeting with an opponent in which there is a result - in ESCS, is a SET. The result of each SET is the score of the game. For a won SET, a player/team receives a MatchPoint(MP).

Each MATCH consists of one or more SETS. According to the results of the SETS, the winner of the MATCH is determined - TournametPoint (TP) is awarded for the victory in the match.

A ROUND is a set of matches that usually start at approximately the same time, with the exception of the Free For All mode. At the beginning of each round for Brackets, King of Mountain and Round Robin, you need to confirm your readiness by pressing READY Button, a player who has not found an opponent (bye) does not need to press Ready. According to the results of the round, the winners of the round are determined, as a rule, the winners of the round go to the next round where the remaining rivals will meet each other and so on.

A STAGE is a set of rounds with the same tournament type, match win conditions, and round. It is possible that at a certain stage of the tournament, free for all is first used, for example, for qualification, this is one stage, then Brackets is used - this is the next stage.
